Korwe is a software engineering company specialising in mobile solutions, to make the technology more useful, more fun, and easier to use. Based in Cape Town, South Africa, with a representative office in London, UK, the Korwe Software engineering team is made up of veterans of software development. The senior team all have graduate or post-graduate degrees in science or engineering, each having fifteen or more years experience in the software and mobile technology field, as well as in running successful businesses. The technical team has worked in satellite electronics and satellite radio, embedded systems design, cryptography/compression, scientific/high-performance computing and even designing core banking systems, giving them a broad understanding of a range of complex technologies. The team has also been involved in mobile technology since its infancy, developing some of the original systems underpinning major networks SMS and MMS platforms, pioneering work in J2ME development, and even developing some of the world’s first Web-integrated applications for the Apple iPhone.
